In August to October 2009, artists Joo Choon Lin and Chun Kai Qun collaborated in an art project titled From Green to Brown to Black to Brown to Green.
The artists are concerned with the rapid pace of urban development, especially the adverse effects on the environment and the behaviour of its inhabitants.
It was a two-part art project exhibiting in Singapore and Fukuoka, Japan.
The first part of the project was exhibited in Lost in the City at the National Museum of Singapore, held in conjunction with the Singapore Art Show 2009.
The project then travelled to Japan, as part the 4th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2009 (Art Exchange Programme), a large-scale international exhibition held every three years to feature the most up-to-date art tendencies/practices in 21 countries/ region in Asia, organised by the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.
